An incubator to elevate ideas into solutions
The Women Innovators Incubator wants:
Ideas.
Most of us have an idea we’ve been noodling on that we think could have a positive impact on our lives, companies or society. But we don’t quite know how to structure the idea, get it out of our heads and get the resources needed to put it out into the world.
Collaborators.
In Tech, we love hackathons, incubators and accelerators, but no matter how we join together, the purpose is always about brings our best strategies and skills to collaborate on new solutions.
Innovations.
Are we truly innovating if we’re not nurturing a diversity of innovation? A world of opportunity opens when we invite new people with new ideas to create new innovations that can positively impact all of us.
Solutions.
We are the closest to changes in society and innovations needed in society. With the right support and right opportunities and collaborators, our ideas can frame the actions that create new, positive solutions.
The Women Innovators Purpose
The Women Innovators Incubator program is a part of a year-long partnership between WomenTechIceland, Huawei and Women in Technology Huawei that was launched last spring. The incubator aims to motivate women to recognize and explore the potential of their ideas, whether or not they possess technical skills and business skills. No prior experience with an incubator is required to participate in the program. All that is required to apply is having an idea that could create positive change and a curiosity to learn how to use technology, business tools and collaboration to bring these great ideas to life.
A one million ISK prize will be awarded to the winning idea at the end of the incubator, plus resources to help the project launch from idea to business. The program will open for applications in February. The Incubator will take place across the month of May 2022. We will hold a panel discussion on Women Leadership in Tech at Iceland Innovation Week as well as a finale event Innovator Pitch Night.
